5The town of Korcula is located some 5 kilometers away from Villa Opus. This luxury villa combines hints of Dubrovnik chic with an abundance of natural elements. Just like Dubrovnik, the medieval old town of Korcula is situated on a peninsula where narrow stone lanes all lead down to the sea. The island is characterized by mellow vibes and easy-paced living, the town being considered as one of the most romantic places in Europe. The local legend says Marco Polo was born here and the site of his alleged birth is open to visitors.
Villa Opus is situated in a small bay, surrounded by the scents and colours typical for the island. If chilling by the pool is your thing, Villa Opus will hit the spot. There is a wonderful heated pool surrounded by a large terrace where you can enjoy breakfast or sip cocktails without missing a minute of the sun. Individually and stylishly decorated with uncluttered elegance, all four bedrooms open out onto terraces with fabulous views over the bay and the Peljesac Peninsula in the distance. The entrance level features two suites both benefiting from full-height glass windows with breathtaking views. The middle floor consists of two master ensuite bedrooms with doors leading out onto private terraces with panoramic sea views over the pool. Both rooms have large king size beds which can be separated. The ground floor features a living room and kitchen opening onto an outside terrace and pool area. Sliding glass doors allow the floor to become open plan, creating an al fresco living environment. Guests have the option of dining inside or outside, with a barbecue area. A self-contained gym with a sauna and shower room can also be found on this floor.
